A Warm welcome to Mitahara Spring

I was first introduced to nutrition as a child. My mum had always struggled with her weight and tried many varying diets that never worked, but we always had good wholesome food with a well-balanced diet. But, it wasn’t until my menopause weight gain that I really started to ask questions to find out how I could lose the extra pounds and the awful weight gain around the middle.

My work as a freelance community artist was non-existent during lockdown but I was introduced to nutrition for a second time by listening to professionals in the nutrition field. Feeling inspired, I joined Amanda Hamilton’s Academy, qualifying in nutrition and wellness.

The wellness side began with my love of swimming at school, which I still enjoy to this day. Over the years I have tried workouts, yoga, Pilates, even running, which if you knew me, you would probably be surprised to learn! Today, I have returned to Pilates and Yoga along with my swimming, but I love to walk and meditate too. Walking has helped with mindfulness, and as a freelance artist my walks have inspired my silk painting and creativeness in the kitchen with food.

I will be offering silk painting workshops as they are so mindful, ad very therapeutic attendees have told me, and don’t worry as no painting or drawing ability is required. Along with the silk painting workshops, there will be nutrition and wellness workshops aimed at children, young people and community groups.

My mission is to support and coach you, no matter your goals. Whether it's with menopause, weight loss, or just the desire to become a healthier version of you, I can help you get there.
